HUGE ACORNS - WHAT'S IN STORE FOR GANANOQUE THIS WINTER ?

Gananoque, On

I was showing a property the other day and noticed the most amazing acorns on this oak tree.  They were HUGE!

The ground was littered with them and I was imagining the work-out the little squirrels and chipmunks would have trying to get these stored away for the winter!!

I then wondered what the reason was for them being so large? And falling whilst still green?  What's that all about??

The Farmer's Almanac tells us, in our area, to get ready for a very harsh winter; the abundance of acorns and pinecones is nature's way of looking out for the animals.

What are you seeing in your area?

Should we follow the squirrels example and get prepared for a long harsh winter?

I don't think it could hurt!

Let me help you find a warm and cozy home for you to squirrel away for the winter . . .  Call Susan Emo, Your Favourite Gananoque Realtor, and together we'll find you the perfect place, harsh winter or not!

If you're thinking about selling, I'd love to meet with you and provide a Market Analysis and go over my Marketing Plan - it is the little things that make the difference.**
