We LOVE Halloween in our house. We really enjoy the Trick or Treaters and make sure we have the house extra scary for them to remember from one year to the next! But, after the children are tucked away in their beds, that's when the adults can enjoy their feast of the Hallowed Nite:
The "Eye-tinis" are always a treat; Vodka or Gin, your choice. The eyeball is a peeled radish with a stuffed green olive inside. Make sure you keep the root on the radish for max effect!
The menu has something for everyone such as the Fingers of Pus which are slices of Black Forest Ham wrapped around a pickle (for the bone crunch effect) then covered in cream cheese then coated in salsa then rolled in parmasen cheese. Black olives make the perfect nails!
The Floating Eyeballs for dessert are crustless lemon cheesecake made with or without sugar, depending on who is wanting to enjoy them!
A melon baller becomes your best friend when making these.
The 'Barfable Bat Wings" are chicken wings rolled in a garlic Pamesan mixture. Quite tasty with no carbs!
Scab Salad with Vampire Toenails is made with dried cranberries and black olives in an orzo salad
You can get as creative as you want on this Hallowed night and you can make something for everyone. Even the nibblies prior to the meal can be fun: Decayed Corpse Crisps and Entrails.
